I go out for a nice day of go-karting and delicious Red Lobster dinner with the family, and Microsoft releases all these new, fantastic, awesome trailers before I get home. I can’t believe this is all just from one conference. I’ve picked these trailers specifically because they were my favourite (I’m selfish). If there were specific ones I didn’t list that you guys are hyped for, let me know down below.
I’m sure some of these won’t be Xbox exclusive (like Cyberpunk and Devil May Cry), but Microsoft had the luxury of revealing them today.
New Halo? I’m in.
I was one of the psychos that unlocked the Seriously… Achievement (kill 10,000 players online in Ranked) in the first Gears of War. Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to this one. Also, Gears Tactics looks kinda interesting.
This takes me back to my childhood. Playing co-op with friends and family. Not actually cooperating since I could attack whoever was playing with me, so it just devolved into the both of us beating the hell out of each other and not accomplishing anything. Those were the good old days. Now we get to play it in High Def.
From Software, the developers of the Souls series and Bloodborne are behind this one. Looks fantastic. I’m prepared to die over and over and over and over and over…….
I’ve been looking forward to a proper sequel to Devil May Cry 4 (the weird DMC spinoff doesn’t count) and this next entry looks like it’s going to deliver the crazy action/demon slashing we’ve come to expect from the series in spades. Nero takes the spotlight in this trailer, but Dante makes an appearance, complete with new scruffy beard. Love it.
I liked what I played of Witcher 3, but the massive “best game of all time” jerk off really ruined my experience with it. There’s a load of hype behind CD Projekt Red’s next big RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, but I’m going to make sure I pick it up day one so I can find out for myself if it’s the next “greatest RPG ever made in the entirety of video game history”.
Seriously, Kingdom Hearts 3 just keeps looking better and better.
And finally, Fallout 76! This trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, but I can’t wait to explore an apocalyptic wasteland with some friends if the so-called online mode is true.
So, that’s it for now folks.
Tomorrow, June 11th (my birthday, thanks Sony!) the hype continues when Sony E3 2018 begins at 9pm EST.
