Another week, another Round Up.
As I’m typing this out, I’m eating some delicious Cup Noodles. I feel like Gladio from Final Fantasy XV (minus the gigantic muscles). Life is starting to pick up a little bit. I’m currently taking some online courses for school, and during my free time I’m playing a ton of Marvel Heroes Omega. I’ve almost hit 2nd Prestige on Venom, and I’m working on leveling a bunch of side characters for their synergy bonuses. My static in Destiny 2 also completed the Leviathan raid last week (yessss) so now begins the farming for all the epic goodies. If you’re in need of a clan, we’re always recruiting at Fabulous Guardians Inc. Even if you don’t want to run stuff, you’re still getting all the rewards when we complete the raid, nightfall etc, so that’s always a nice bonus.
Anyways let’s see what’s on my mind this week…..
Marvel Heroes Omega – Age of Apocalypse Event begins this Thursday
Since Venom (who is only available till tomorrow, so go buy him right now! If you’re on the fence, check out my thoughts on why he’s my new main) launched on consoles recently, I’ve been hooked back into this game. Lucky for me, it seems to be as good a time as any to get back into it. Gazillion will be hosting a livestream today at 6pm pst to show off the upcoming ‘Age of Apocalypse‘. It looks like they’ll be handing out a bunch of goodies like Guardians of the Galaxy hero packs for consoles and Carnage packs for PC. In addition, we’ll be getting some tasty info on the upcoming event. What we know so far is that we’re getting some awesome looking costumes for Psylocke, Magik, Storm & Jean Grey. Hopefully we will get different costumes for the other heroes as well, but probably not. There’s going to be a new operation where you go up against Apocalypse. They’re also implementing the Omega difficulty, so we can continue to build our characters even further. For full details, be sure to check out that livestream tonight! (I know I will be).
SNES Classic release is days away!!
Can you guess which game I’m most excited to play? This bad boy will be in my hands on Friday. Were any of you lucky enough to grab one, or have a brother like mine that went in and pre-ordered for me? After spending some time with it, I’ll be sure to post my thoughts on the mini console. Let’s hope supply will be much better this time around (I’m looking at you NES Classic….yeah you….you elusive bastard).
Destiny 2 launches Faction Rally Event today
If you’ve been wondering where Dead Orbit, Future War Cult and New Monarchy have been hiding out since the attack on the tower, wonder no more. Each of the leaders have returned and with them, comes more loot. The campaign will only run for a week (September 26th – October 3rd) and whichever faction ends up most popular unlocks a special weapon that can be purchased for 1000 glimmer. If you didn’t choose Dead Orbit (come on, Dead Orbit has always looked badass, it’s gonna win) you’re going to have to pay 50,000 (Jesus) for that wicked looking Scout Rifle. Get out there guardians and represent! (forDeadOrbitIreallywantthatscoutrifle).
New Maze Runner trailer dropped yesterday
I will be the first to admit, I’ve never read the books (my wife has). However, I think the movies are great. The 2nd one gave me some major Last of Us vibes with the weird zombie people. It kept me on the edge of my seat and had some amazing set pieces. It’s nice to finally see a trailer for the 3rd film after the accident that Dylan O’ Brien (Thomas) had on set (they put the filming on hiatus for months due to his injuries during a stunt). What’s also nice is that we don’t have to wait long to see the conclusion to this series either.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure opens in theaters January 26th, 2018.
Cup Noodle makes everything great
Seriously, it’s the best thing ever. Now that we have that out of the way, please sponsor me Cup Noodle gods so I can eat a lifetime’s supply of this beautiful treat.
That’s it for The Round Up! Until next time. – NVJ
