Another week, another Round Up.
How’s everyone? I’ve been making more progress in Persona 5 (66 hours in). I know a lot of you have already beat it (and quadrupled that many hours played), but I’m getting there, there’s just too many things to play. I’ve spent a majority of my time prepping for Stormblood. Leveling my Botanist is mind numbing, but I hope to have it to 60 by the time early access starts, I’m currently 47. I’m also finishing up any quests to free up my journal. It’s 17 days away (but who’s counting?). I can’t wait folks, my body is ready.
Anyways, let’s check out what caught my eye this week. It’s short, but sweet……… like you.
Wonder Woman releases this Friday
I’m stoked for this one. I’m hopeful it will be the film to turn DCEU haters on their head. Forget about Suicide Squad, I really liked Man of Steel & Batman V Superman. Gal Gadot looks like she’s going to kick all kinds of ass, and I’m looking forward to it. It’s been getting pretty great reviews, so fingers crossed. Our review will be up Friday.
A Hole New World releases on Xbox One, June 9th
Xbox One players will finally get to play this gem on June 9th. PS4 players will have to be patient and wait a little bit longer. If you manage to be the first one to get all the achievements for it, MadGearGames will send you a NES cartridge of the game that works on consoles. How badass is that? Be sure to check out our review to see why we can’t get enough of this love letter to the classics.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake switches developers
Reported by FF-Reunion, and translated by Gematsu. Project lead Naoki Hamaguchi stated that Square-Enix is shifting development duties from CyberConnect2, to an in-house development team. It’s also been stated that Kingdom Hearts 3 & FF7 Remake will be released in the next 3 years or so. I don’t really know how to feel about this. I obviously want the finished products to be phenomenal, but I also don’t want to see XYZ chains of fate dream 17 HD remakes up until the launch. I’ve already purchased FF7 on PS1, PC, PS3, Steam & PS4 (NO MORE, PLEASE GOD NO)……. Hopefully we’ll learn some more info at E3 in June.
Follow up to I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphere, announced for 2018 release date
More Square-Enix news! Tokyo RPG Factory struck that magic I remember from Chrono Trigger with I Am Setsuna. Judging from the first trailer for their next game, Lost Sphere, it looks to not stray to far from the formula. One new feature is you can adjust your placement in battles mid fight. It could add a bit of strategy to the gameplay. The story of Lost Sphear “follows a young boy, Kanata, as he awakens from a devastating dream to find his hometown disappearing”. Lost Sphear will be available on PS4, Nintendo Switch & Steam in early 2018. If you want a physical copy, you can purchase it right from the Square-Enix website.
Monster Hunter XX looks pretty great
I was a big fan of Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate on Wii U. My brother had it for the 3DS, and we would play co-op side by side, fighting those giant pains in the ass. I haven’t purchased a Switch yet, but this might be the game to nudge me to get one (if the U.S gets a release). That, or I’ll just borrow my daughters 3DS and get the game (because I’m cheap like that).
That’s it for The Round Up, until next time!
